Letter about Restricted Trannie |
It seems a pity to read in Orders today that each Repat can now only have four mates to see him off at 'trannie'. After nine months here, everyone makes plenty of friends and he naturally wants to say farewell to them. The traditional line of friends at the front door is your last memory of Gan. (Those fairies in 6 SU take it a bit far mind when they kiss their friends farewell) Trannie is the place where you go in collar and tie and feel a part of the big outside World. Let's face it, it's a break, even though it may only be for one hour. Yet now we have to obtain a chitty, sign a book and what is worse we have to choose 4 out of say 20, or in my case 750, friends. We could of course use the 180 Club to bid farewell, but it hasn't got the same atmosphere and most people have a wide variety of ranks to see them off, and they couldn't use the 180. Rules have got to be obeyed, but surely there is some way of overcoming this without this almost total ban. What about a gate entrance into the garden patio for Gan personnel only - ban us from the lounge and bar and make the departing personnel buy the drinks. A scheme like that could work. ALDO SALE |
